Understanding both sides changes how you see a case.

I’m a California attorney representing public entities and businesses in employment disputes. Having previously represented employees, I understand the concerns and decisions on each side of a workplace case.

My employment work has involved discrimination, retaliation, leave, and workplace rights matters, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation. Working on both sides helps me assess the facts, risks, and paths to resolution.

I aim to communicate candidly and find practical outcomes. Earlier roles in workers’ compensation defense and prosecutors’ offices also shaped how I investigate a record, prepare an argument, and work under pressure.

Employment defense

Associate Attorney at Narayan Travelstead Ku, P.C., representing public entities and businesses in employment matters. My experience representing employees informs how I assess disputes and work toward effective resolutions.

2025–2026

Plaintiff employment litigation

As plaintiff’s counsel at Shegerian & Associates, I represented employees in workplace disputes and obtained settlements of up to $900,000 on their behalf.

Earlier practice

Workers’ compensation defense

As an Associate Attorney at Duncan Cassio, I represented employers and public entities across the Central Valley in matters before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, focusing on case management and appeals within the system.

Public service

Criminal prosecution

I worked as a criminal prosecutor with the San Mateo and Sacramento County District Attorney’s Offices, representing the People of the State of California in criminal proceedings in California superior courts. My work spanned assisting with narcotics and gang investigations, preliminary hearings on felony charges, motion practice, and trial preparation.

04 / My Story

Rooted in the Bay Area. Driven by service.

I was born and raised in the Bay Area to immigrant parents. As a first-generation attorney, I bring an understanding of the challenges immigrant communities can face when navigating institutions and seeking to be heard.

At Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., I became active in the community and was exposed to public affairs and politics. My time there deepened my passion for education and for serving marginalized communities.

I returned to the Bay Area to attend Santa Clara University School of Law. I served as Vice President of the Student Bar Association, was a Public Policy Fellow at the Panetta Institute for Public Policy, and developed my advocacy skills through Moot Court.

I began my legal career at an immigration nonprofit helping refugees seek asylum. Giving back to the community and pursuing justice for clients remain central to my work, alongside a broader commitment to fairness in the global community.
